Reg : Fees Structure for 2016-17
Some of the parents have been opposed to the school fees structure for 2016-17, till it is approved by the Director of Education: Delhi.
The Govt order in this behalf mandates only a particular category schools to submit proposal seeking Director’s approval to increase in fees. The order dated 16-04-2106 provided that in case of schools who had charged increased fee prior to issue of the Order, “the same shall be liable to be adjusted by the schools in terms of the sanction of the Director of Education on the proposal.”
As clarified earlier, our school though does not belong to the said category, to avoid any ambiguity we do propose to make such a proposal and place before the government the statutory obligations cast on the school which necessitate increase over the rates applicable for 2015-16. The School will be guided by the decision of the Government.
The additional Director vide her order dated 25-04-2016 has asked the school not to enhance the fees without approval of the directorate of education. Therefore, without prejudice to the above and subject to the outcome of pending litigation, the school, in compliance with the directions, has decided to defer the enhancement till the time the proposal is approved by the Director. The decision, as per law, will be effective from 01 April 2016.
For the present, therefore, the parents may continue paying the fees at rates as applicable for the academic year 2015-16. The parents who have already paid the fees for 2016-17 at rates notified for 2016-17 may, at their option, adjust the extra amount in the fee bill for next quarter or may seek refund by making a formal application to school office.
