K.R. Mangalam world school Paschim Vihar celebrated a 68 Republic Day on 26 January 2017 which included the hoisting of the Flag with full enthusiasm and joy. The students of pre-school, pre primary and class I actively participated in various creative – activities throughout the day, such as – ‘Kitchenette Activity where they prepared a tri-color sandwich and relished the same with their friends.
Aitiqa dovaao BavaÁ
K.R. Mangalam World School, Vikas Puri, organized pre-primary assembly of class Pre-Primary Jupiter on
26 July 2017. The topic of the assembly was “Aitiqa dovaao BavaÁ”. The assembly was based on the guests coming to our country are esteemed guest of honour and how the guides serve them with utmost respect and dignity.
The guides showed them the three states of India: Punjab, Rajasthan and Goa. Punjab, which is one of the most important agricultural state, Rajasthan, which is a tourist hub and Goa which is the most happening destination of India.
The assembly commenced in a rhythmic way, where the singing stars of K.R. Mangalam World School sang a beautiful song to welcome the guests, “Swagatam swagatam”.
The song was followed by a skit in which the children showcased how when a few foreigners visit India they are served with respect and humility and all of them enjoyed their visit and want to come again and again. The whole show was portrayed confidently and with zeal.
It was a value based assembly which conveyed the message of treating guests as Gods in our country India.
Even outside the school, students shine like glowing stars and bring laurels to the school with their talent in different fields of creativity .
Saanvi Girhotra of KG Venus brought laurels to the school by winning the 3rd position in All India Intra school Final round of Britania Conquest for the year 2015-16. Rishant Raj of K.G.Mercury secured 1st position, whereas Ahana Chhabra of class I- B secured 2nd position in Fancy Dress competition held at K.R.Mangalam World School, Noida
Vrinda Kaul of I – D secured 2nd position in Origami Competition and Prityush Nair of K.G. Mars also secured 2nd position in Fancy Dress Competition held at The Indian Height School, Dwarka.
Kavish Sharma of class I – B received consolation in ‘Show and Tell’ competition held at Doon Public School Paschim Vihar and 13th B.R. Memorial Roller Skating Meet 2016 – 17 was organized by Adarsh Public School, Vikaspuri on 21st and 22nd October 2016. Katya Dhamija of class I – D secured 3rd position in adjustable 300 meters race under the category of 4 to 6 years.Nilaksh Goel of class I – B secured 3rd position with each in Inline 500 meter race under the category of 4 to 6 years.
Inter House Folk Dance Competition
“Dance is the hidden language of the soul”
Folk dancing is a wonderful way to introduce young children to the world’s rich diversity and enable them to teach the enjoyment of dance, music, and rhythm. It also provides opportunities for socialization and room for self expression. It improves self esteem.
To spread the message of socialism and showcase the hidden talents of the tiny tots, K.R. Mangalam World School organized an inter house dance competition for the students of class I on 11 August 2016.
The theme of the competition was ‘Folk dances of India’, Where students from all the four house participated with great enthusiasm.
In this competition, the kids were supposed to convey a social message through their performance.
Students wore colorful ethnic attires and showed their talents with excellent performances and enthralled the audience with their expressions and moves.
The vivacious dancers set the floor on fire with their energetic performances. The fun filled extra vaganza offered folk dance forms of Punjab, Rajasthan, Gujrat, Kashmir and Chennai.
Emerald House performed Kashmiri folk dance with full enthusiasm. They showed Indian Army fighting for peace of the fighting for peace of the country. They conveyed the message non- terrorism and peace.
Sapphire House showcased Punjabi folk dance with great zeal and enthusiasm. They conveyed the message of harmony and peace.
Ruby House performed Chennai folk dance i.e. Kuthu dance. They showed the beauty of South Indian culture and the spirit of joy.
Topaz House showcased the culture of Rajasthan and Gujrat through their dance and conveyed the message of oneness.
All the four houses performed wonderfully with great zeal and enthusiasm. The audience enjoyed every moment of the programme. The spectators highly complimented the efforts put in by all the four houses.
Through dance the children explored their ability to dance.

“Language is the sole of mankind”
Hindi Diwas is celebrated on 14 September every year to [promote and propogate the hindi language. Its importance is demonstrated everywhere by feasts, competitions and other services.
K.R Mangalam World School, Paschim Vihar organised a hindi week for the pre-school, pre-primary and class-I students from 14 September 2016. Various creative and interesting activities were planned for the students which kept them engaged throughout the week such as- Hindi rhymes and stories, Hasya Kavita competition, Hindi slogan based on education, shabdavali (spellathon) etc. These activities were planned not only to enjoy but also to enhance the Hindi language among the students.
The teachers in their class conducted group discussions and encouraged them to share their views, experiences with their teachers and peers. They were given an opportunity to narrate stories as well. Throughout the week, they were given the liberty to converse in their mother tongue. Hindi, which make them proud and confident to know our national language.
The children recited their rhymes with full enthusiasm in the class. Their Hasiya kavita made every body laugh to the fullest. Their was a wide variety of rhymes which was spoken by the children. Every one thoroughly enjoyed this activity. The value of our national language was truly imparted in the souls of the little mangalities. Thus it was indeed a fruitful week.
WORLD TOURISM DAY
“The World is a book and those who do not travel read only a page.”
Tourism is the practice of travelling for pleasure especially on one’s holidays. It is an organized journey during which several places are visited. It is important for the growth and development of the country.
World Tourism Day has aimed to foster awareness of the importance of tourism and its social, cultural, political and economic impact.
Class 1 of K.R. Mangalam World School organized a special assembly on 28 September, 2016 to foster awareness about the importance of tourism.
The assembly depicted about the various historical places of India for the tourists to visit and explore its history. It also emphasized on the concept of “Atithi Devo Bhava.”
The assembly was witnessed by pre school and pre primary students. The concept of “Atithi Devo Bhava “was beautifully showcased by the students of class 1 which they not only enjoyed but acknowledged its Worldwide need and importance.
GRANDPARENTS DAY 2016
Grandparents hold our tiny hands for just a little while, but our hearts forever!!
Grandparents are a delightful blend of laughter, caring deeds, wonderful stories and love. Grandparents Day is a day for celebrating the connections between the generations.
The purpose of this day is to honor grandparents and to give grandchildren an opportunity to show their love for them.
To make children realize about the strength, information, guidance, care and love their grandparents can offer to them, K.R.Mangalam World School, Paschim Vihar organized fun-filled activities for the students of Pre School, Pre-Primary and class 1 on 9 September,16 .
The pre schoolers made a pot which they gifted to their grandparents with their pictures on it, whereas the pre-primary students printed a T- shirt expressing “ I LOVE GRANDPARENTS” with their handprints and gifted it to their grandparents.
As we sow a seed and then nurture it into a big and fruitful tree in the same way class 1 students planted a sapling and gifted to their grandparents which will be a reminder of their love towards them that will keep blooming every day.
All these activities enlightened the gratitude towards their Nana/ Nani and Dada / Dadi made each one of them realize their importance in the life of our tiny tots.
K.R. M Paschim Vihar, together as a family celebrated this day on 15 August 2016 with religious fervor and gaiety in order to fill each little soul with the spirit of patriotism. There was flag hoisting along with the cultural programme where the children were dressed up as freedom fighters and spoke lines ,recited poems and sang patriotic songs. It was free day for them where various games were also organized.
